On-Demand Processing FAQs: I’m nervous about giving up control. How will I know everything is going smoothly?

Interested in trying On-Demand Processing (the broker enhancement where we handle the processing, underwriting, closing, and funding of the loans), but nervous about giving up some of the control over the process? We get it. When you’ve been doing something a certain way for a long time the idea of switching things up can be stressful. Luckily On-Demand Processing is incredibly flexible and designed to eliminate stress, not add to it!

On-Demand Processing is “A la cart”
You can choose which elements of the process you want us to handle and which you’d prefer to keep in house. Better yet, this decision doesn’t have to be made company wide or even set by each loan officer; it can vary on a loan-level basis.

  • Having an extremely busy month and worried that service levels will start to suffer? We’ll work with your customer to gather documentation and clear outstanding conditions.
  • Originating a mobile home loan for the first time and want to make sure the process goes smoothly? We can take on the processing and underwriting allowing you to learn as you go.
  • Working with a long time customer and you want to be sure he or she always hears from you? Opt to have us focus on the tasks that do not require us to contact the borrower directly and leave the management of that relationship to you.

We’re here to help in whatever way we can, and want to give our partners true loan-level flexibility to choose how they want to use our services on a loan-by-loan basis. This is not an all or nothing option!

Frequent Communication
If you’re used to walking down the hall and picking up a file when you have a question, it might be unnerving to imagine how the process would work when we are working on gathering conditions, underwriting the file, and scheduling the closing. Don’t worry! You can always access loan-level information and status by logging into our Loan Origination Portal, AFR Loan Center. Many of our partners find it easier to keep tabs on a loan that is in the On-Demand Processing system than one that is being handled in their own building.

You will receive automated emails and communication throughout the process, keeping you in the loop and informed on the loan’s progress. Should you need to check in, it’s as simple as logging into our system and accessing your transaction from the pipeline management screen. This lets you get back to your day much more quickly, increasing both productivity and peace of mind.
