New Appraisal Process Required :Approved Appraisal Management Company STREETLINKS and LSI

02/25/2010 - Based on the new FHA requirements and the existing HVCC requirements for conventional loans, American Financial Resources, Inc. has added LSI and STREETLINKS as approved appraisal management companies.

The new FHA requirements specifically address appraiser independence, pre-valuation requests and the passing of any expected value by a loan originator. Both of our approved appraisal management companies' arms-length, independent appraisal processes was built for full compliance with these regulations. AFR will accept the values generated by STREETLINKS and LSI.

For all new appraisal orders that are initiated through an appraisal management company other than AFR-approved vendor STREETLINKS or LSI Appraisal Management Company, the value will be confirmed by a desk review ordered by AFR. Several additional appraisal management companies are being reviewed and will be announced in the next few weeks.
